“Eternal Sun” is set to light up the Grand Egyptian Museum
Announced in October, the new evening experience is scheduled to start on 1 November in the Grand Hall.

The Grand Egyptian Museum is preparing a new after-dark experience in Giza. Announced during October, Eternal Sun is scheduled to begin on 1 November 2026, using the Grand Hall as the setting for light, music and storytelling.
What the experience involves
The performance lasts about 35 minutes and uses projection mapping with bilingual storytelling inspired by ancient Egyptian civilisation. It is an evening production, separate from a visit to the permanent galleries.
Tickets and arrival
The published categories list EGP 480 for Egyptian adults and EGP 240 for Egyptian children aged 6–12. Other-nationality prices are EGP 1,500 and EGP 750 respectively. Check the selected date and category before payment.
An Eternal Sun ticket alone does not include museum gallery admission. Visitors are asked to arrive thirty minutes before their selected show.
Who can attend?
Children under six are not admitted, and visitors under fifteen need an accompanying adult. Dynamic lighting, lasers and loud music are part of the presentation; the venue says it is unsuitable for people with epilepsy or sensitivity to flashing lights.
